No. Most independent songwriters leave this gap unfilled. DistroKid, TuneCore, and CD Baby distribute earnings from your recordings. The underlying compositions, the songs themselves, generate different royalties through collection societies around the world, which distributors leave untouched. Davincii collects those funds.

Yes. A label deal covers your recordings; publishing covers the songs underneath them, and the two contracts are separate. Davincii takes nothing from your master recording income. The real conflict is an existing publishing deal: don't submit a song that another publisher or administrator still controls, because both would register the same share. That applies song by song, so you can still register the rest of your catalog.

Yes, and keep that membership as your foundation. A PRO pays the writer's share of performance royalties, which covers one stream in one capacity. Davincii works on the publisher side by registering every song with societies around the world, then collecting mechanical, digital, and international royalties that PRO membership by itself can't reach.

We collect your performance royalties domestically and internationally, your mechanical royalties at the source, and sync fees when someone licenses your music. The world's 225+ collection societies use reciprocal agreements to extend performance coverage across 240+ countries and territories.

Often, yes, and how far back depends on the royalty. Once a song is registered and matched, US mechanical royalties are paid back to January 2021, and older unmatched money from streams going back to 2007 is still held, with no published deadline. Performance royalties close faster: the US performance societies reach back up to about two years, and after that the money is gone. That is why we file as soon as your catalog is ready. Royalty Radar estimates what is still waiting for your catalog.

We close each quarter on March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31, and credit your balance within 30 days with the royalties we actually received by quarter-end. Once your balance reaches $25 and your tax form is on file, you can withdraw anytime, by bank transfer, PayPal or another method available in your country. Mechanical royalties reach us monthly, about two to three months after the plays. Performance royalties arrive four times a year, six to nine months after the quarter they were earned in. We record each payment as it arrives, and it is credited after the next quarterly close. Your first payment takes longest, usually four to seven months after a song is registered, and is usually the largest because it carries any back royalties your catalog is owed.

Give us 30 days' written notice. There is no minimum term and no penalty. Email info@davincii.co from your account email, and we'll acknowledge it. If you ask in writing, we send you a signed letter of relinquishment with a list of your songs within 30 days, and your next publisher or administrator uses it to claim the songs in its own name. For 12 months after the agreement ends, we keep collecting royalties you earned during it. Within 60 days after that window closes, you'll get a final statement and everything you're owed.

After signup, add each song through your dashboard in moments, frequently just seconds. We run automatic checks on each song and file it with the right societies, domestically and internationally. Your dashboard follows each submission, clearly showing completed, pending, and outstanding registrations. For priority songwriters in the invitation-only Blueprint tier, we identify and assemble the whole catalog.

Yes. Performance and mechanical societies around the world generate song royalties beyond the US, and your location doesn't limit where we register or collect.

We work straight with the society to amend its current registration. Submitting another copy instead would create the very conflicts and delays we're avoiding.

You and the other writers must settle it. We have no control over somebody else's share, so we register only the splits you've confirmed as correct. After agreement, we'll file the split and update its registration whenever it changes.

Yes, with your explicit written permission required beforehand. When the placement comes from you or your team, Davincii charges 20% to administer and collect it. When we find and pitch the opportunity for you, the rate is 35%. No license is granted until you approve it.

US taxpayers submit a standard W-9; everyone else uses a W-8BEN. You'll complete it in the dashboard before withdrawing for the first time, allowing us to report earnings and pay you correctly. A W-9 does not expire. A W-8BEN lasts about three years, and we email you before it runs out. Any US business processing royalty payments asks for the same forms.

Traffic travels under encryption (HTTPS/TLS), passwords stay hashed instead of being saved in plaintext, and only authorized personnel with signed confidentiality obligations may access production data.
