How to cancel

End your Davincii agreement with 30 days' written notice by email. What happens to your songs, registrations and royalties afterwards.

To cancel, email info@davincii.co from the email address you use to sign in, and say that you want to end your agreement. The agreement ends 30 days after your notice. Under the current Terms there is no minimum term and no penalty, and your songs and copyrights stay 100% yours throughout.

There is no cancel button in Settings. Cancelling is done by written notice, so a person at Davincii handles it.

How to give notice

  1. Write to info@davincii.co from the email address on your account.
  2. Say that you are ending your agreement with Davincii.
  3. If you are moving to another publisher or administrator, say so, and ask for a letter of relinquishment (see below).

An email notice counts as received two business days after you send it, unless you get a bounce or delivery-failure message.

What happens after you leave

We stop registering. Once the agreement ends, we make no new registrations for you.

We keep collecting what you earned, for 12 months. Societies often pay months after a song is played. For 12 months after the agreement ends, we keep collecting royalties you earned during the agreement, credit your share, and keep sending you statements. Our normal commission applies during that window. How much Davincii costs lists the rates.

Then we step away. After the 12 months, we have no further right to collect or take any commission. If money still reaches us after that, we forward it to you without our commission (less any correction we still owe a society under the Terms). Within 60 days after the 12 months end, we send you a final accounting and everything you are owed.

Your registrations

Under the current Terms, when you ask in writing, we send you a signed letter of relinquishment with a list of your works within 30 days. That letter is the paperwork your next publisher or administrator needs to claim your songs in its own name.

We don't withdraw or change the registrations ourselves. Societies update their records once your new administrator files its own claims. If a society asks us to confirm or relinquish a song so it can act on those claims, we do. Until the records change, a society may keep paying us, and that money reaches you as described above.

If you signed up under an earlier version of the Terms, the version you accepted applies, and the details of this step may differ.

Removing just some songs

You don't have to leave to take a song elsewhere. You can withdraw any song from your catalog at any time by written notice to info@davincii.co, and we will release or correct our registrations for it.

Before you go

Check your balance on Payouts. You can withdraw once it reaches $25 and your tax form is on file. See How to withdraw your money.

If you are moving to Davincii rather than away, read Switching to Davincii from another administrator. The FAQ covers other common questions.
