What to do when a withdrawal fails
What Failed and Reversed mean in your Payout History, what each withdrawal message means, and how to fix it.
If a withdrawal doesn't reach you, the money goes back to your Available Balance. Nothing is lost. Check the status in Payout History on the Payouts page, fix the cause, and withdraw again.
What the statuses mean
- Pending: on its way. The amount is set aside, so it can't be withdrawn twice.
- Paid: the money has been sent.
- Failed: the withdrawal never went out. The amount is back in your balance.
- Reversed: the money was sent, but your bank or PayPal returned it. The amount is back in your balance.
A reversal can happen when the bank account or PayPal account is closed or its details are wrong. Check your details, update them if needed, and try again. See changing where your money goes.
Messages you might see, and what to do
"You need at least $25.00 available to withdraw." Your balance is under the $25 minimum. It rolls forward until it passes $25.
"Complete your tax form first" or "Your tax form has expired." Sign your W-9 or W-8BEN under Tax Information on the Payouts page. A W-8BEN needs renewing every few years. See tax forms: W-9 and W-8BEN.
"Withdrawals are paused for 48 hours" Your payout details changed recently. This pause protects your money. The page shows when withdrawals reopen. If you didn't make the change, change your password and write to info@davincii.co right away.
"Withdrawals reopen shortly" Your balance is safe. The account we pay bank transfers from is being refilled. Try again around the date shown on the page.
"Stripe onboarding not complete" Stripe still needs something from you. In Payout Method, press the Stripe row that says Finish setting up Stripe.
"PayPal says this address isn't confirmed yet." Confirm your email address inside your PayPal account, then try again.
"PayPal couldn't accept this payout." Nothing was taken from your balance. Write to info@davincii.co and we'll sort it out.
"PayPal didn't confirm this payout." We're following it up. If it doesn't go through, the amount returns to your balance.
"Your payout details just changed." Refresh the page and try again.
"We couldn't confirm your withdrawal" The money may have gone out. Don't send another one yet. Press View payout history to check. If nothing shows up after a few minutes, write to info@davincii.co.
"Couldn't send your withdrawal" or "Unable to process payout." Check Payout History first. If a Pending withdrawal appeared, don't send another one. If nothing appeared, try again in a moment. If it keeps happening, write to info@davincii.co.
