Downloading your statements

How to download your monthly royalty statement as a PDF or CSV from the Royalties page, and what each statement shows.

Your statements are on the Royalties page, in the Statements list at the bottom. There's one statement for each month we were paid for you, and each one comes as a PDF and a CSV.

How to download a statement

  1. Open Royalties in the sidebar. You can also press Statements in the Earnings box on your Dashboard.
  2. Scroll to Statements. Each row shows a month and the amount credited to you that month.
  3. Press PDF or CSV next to the month you want. The file downloads right away.

If the list says No statements yet, nothing has been paid to us for you so far. Your first statement appears after the first payment we receive for you. See when royalties arrive.

What the PDF shows

Each statement has its own statement number and issue date. The summary box shows Net credited to your balance, the amount added to your balance that month, along with:

  • Gross royalties collected: what the society paid in for you.
  • Davincii commission: our share, at the rates in your Terms.
  • Net royalties and Adjustments, when there was an adjustment that month, such as a correction.

If a society's report didn't include a gross amount, those lines are shown at their net value, and the statement says so.

Below the summary, tables break the money down by royalty type, by platform, and by song, with the number of uses reported for each song. Any adjustments get their own table.

What the CSV shows

The CSV starts with the same summary. Then it lists every line the society reported: song title, royalty type, society, platform, territory, the usage dates, the number of uses, and your earnings. It's the file to use if you or your accountant want to sort, filter or reconcile the numbers.

A statement month is a payment month

A statement covers what reached us in that month, whatever period the music was played in. One payment can cover plays from several earlier months. The charts on the Royalties page are grouped by the period the society reported instead, so the two views won't always line up month by month. See reading your Royalties page.

If a statement changes

A statement keeps the same number every time you download it. If the numbers behind it are later corrected, you get the same statement number with a notice that it was revised.

Need every line at once?

The export button at the top of the Royalties page downloads every royalty line for the period range you pick, or for all time, as one CSV.

Common questions

Why don't I have any statements yet?

Your first statement appears after the first payment we receive for you. We don't issue a statement for a month in which nothing was credited to you.

What's the difference between the PDF and the CSV?

The PDF is a summary with totals by royalty type, platform and song. The CSV lists every line the society reported, so you can sort and filter it in a spreadsheet.
