Reading your Royalties page
What each part of the Royalties page shows: totals, royalty types, periods, territories, societies, sources and songs.
The Royalties page shows every royalty we've collected for you, broken down by type, period, territory, society, source and song. Every amount is what's yours after our commission. Open it from Royalties in the sidebar.
Pick a period
At the top, the From period and To period menus narrow the page to a range. Periods are the quarters the societies reported your royalties for. Everything on the page follows your choice, except a single song's pop-up, which always shows all time.
The blue button next to the menus downloads every royalty line in your chosen range as a CSV file. It reads Export all time when no range is picked.
The four numbers at the top
- Total earned: everything we've collected for you in the chosen range.
- Top song: the song that earned the most, and how much.
- Top writer: the writer with the highest earnings.
- Songs earning: how many of your songs have earned something, out of all the songs on your account.
Charts
- Royalty Types splits your total into mechanical, performance and any other types, such as sync.
- Income by Period shows your earnings quarter by quarter, colored by type. It shows your most recent 12 quarters at most. Hover over a bar to see its amount.
Where the money came from
- Royalties by Territory shows the countries where your royalties were earned, on a map and in a table.
- Top Societies lists who collected your royalties.
- Top Sources lists where your music was played, such as streaming services.
Each table shows the top six, then groups the rest into one line, and ends with a Grand total.
The Songs table
The Songs table lists every song with royalties in your range. It shows the Songwriters, the Units reported, and the Royalties earned. Use Search by title to find a song.
Select a song to open its breakdown. You'll see its earnings over time, plus its royalty types, societies, sources and territories. This pop-up always covers all time.
Statements
At the bottom, the Statements list has one PDF and CSV for each month we were paid for you. See downloading your statements.
Why this page differs from your balance
Total earned counts everything credited to you. Your Available Balance on the Payouts page is what you can withdraw right now. It leaves out money you've already withdrawn and any US tax withheld. It also leaves out royalties whose payment hasn't reached us yet. See how to withdraw your money.
This page shows only what we collect. The writer share of performance royalties is paid to you directly by your own society, so it isn't here. See publisher share and writer share, and the glossary for any term you don't recognize.
Common questions
Are the amounts on the Royalties page before or after Davincii's commission?
After. Every amount on the page is what's yours once our commission is taken out.
Why is Total earned different from my Available Balance?
Total earned counts everything credited to you. Your Available Balance leaves out money you've already withdrawn, any US tax withheld, and royalties whose payment hasn't reached us yet.
