What APRA AMCOS collects

Performance royalties are collected by a performing rights organization whenever a composition plays publicly, including on radio, television, a stream, or at a live venue.

In Australia, APRA AMCOS collects public performance (APRA), mechanicals (AMCOS) — Australia + New Zealand. APRA AMCOS was established in 1926 and reports approximately 116,000 members.

Joining APRA AMCOS

Joining cost: Free. Royalties are distributed quarterly domestic + monthly international. You need an IPI number — the global identifier connecting a writer with their works, without which registrations cannot be matched to payments.
