GMR

Global Music Rights

Boutique invitation-only PRO founded by Irving Azoff. Roster includes Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon estate, Pharrell Williams, etc. Not relevant for indie songwriters until they reach you.

What GMR collects

A performing rights organization collects performance royalties — money generated when a composition is played publicly, whether that's radio, television, a live venue, or a stream.

GMR operates in United States and collects public performance. It was founded in 2013 and reports roughly 100 members.

Joining GMR

Joining cost: Invitation-only. Royalties are distributed quarterly. An IPI number is required — that's the global identifier that ties a writer to their works, and without one your registrations can't be matched to payments.

GMR does not publish an open online registration path. Membership is generally arranged directly with the society or through a publisher.

Where Davincii fits

Davincii does not register directly with GMR. Membership here is generally limited to residents or is invitation-only, so collection from this territory is handled through our reciprocal society relationships rather than a direct filing.
