Irving Azoff founded this boutique PRO, which admits members only by invitation. Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon estate, Pharrell Williams, etc. appear on its roster. For indie songwriters, it matters only if they contact you.

What GMR collects

Performance royalties are collected by a performing rights organization whenever a composition plays publicly, including on radio, television, a stream, or at a live venue.

In United States, GMR collects public performance. GMR was established in 2013 and reports approximately 100 members.

Joining GMR

Joining cost: Invitation-only. Royalties are distributed quarterly. You need an IPI number — the global identifier connecting a writer with their works, without which registrations cannot be matched to payments.

No open online registration route is published by GMR. Membership is usually set up through a publisher or directly with the society.

Where Davincii fits

GMR pays its writers the writer share directly, so that part reaches you from your own society. Davincii administers the publisher share by registering your works with ASCAP, BMI, and The MLC, and we rely on reciprocal societies only outside the United States.
