KODA

Denmark's PRO leaves mechanicals to NCB (Nordic Copyright Bureau). That shared mechanical-rights body also serves Sweden's STIM, Norway's TONO, Finland's Teosto, and Iceland's STEF.

What KODA collects

Performance royalties are collected by a performing rights organization whenever a composition plays publicly, including on radio, television, a stream, or at a live venue.

In Denmark, KODA collects public performance — Denmark. KODA was established in 1926 and reports approximately 50,000 members.

Joining KODA

Joining cost: DKK 812.50 one-time (DKK 650 + VAT). Royalties are distributed monthly (11 distributions a year). You need an IPI number — the global identifier connecting a writer with their works, without which registrations cannot be matched to payments.
